Hello and welcome! I’m Andrea Coleman (she/her), and I’m so happy to meet you.
I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and therapist, serving clients throughout Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, Vermont, Illinois, and Washington.
I specialize in working with young adults, women and LGBTQIA+ folks who are dealing with eating disorders— combining my professional expertise with the deep understanding that comes from personal experience
My path to becoming a therapist grew from my own experience struggling with an eating disorder in high school. During my college years I received transformative treatment and support. This journey deeply shapes how I work with clients today — it’s not just what I do, it’s why I do it!
I truly believe that recovery is possible for everyone and I feel honored to support others on their unique paths to recovery.
I am also a fierce and loyal ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and all marginalized voices.
As a social worker, my therapy practice is grounded in the knowledge that the personal is political, and our larger contexts play a role in our individual mental health.
I believe that helping people live their authentic truth is fundamental to mental health and personal satisfaction.
Lists of credentials can be boring, but I share them because – in addition to my lived experience – my training is how you can trust the work we’ll do together in therapy:
